Gura Gear Kiboko is out of stock (for the moment)
Wow. What a great opening out of the gate. I launched Gura Gear in early November 2008, and in a short four months I completely sold out of my first production run of the Kiboko camera bag. I did not anticipate this much demand, but it illustrates just how thirsty the market is for a paradigm-shifting type of product. As mentioned earlier, I started thinking about the problem of overweight camera bags back in early 2005, and it took a few years for me to bring the proper product to market. Thank you to everyone who has supported my efforts, and if you purchased a bag I just want to say a huge THANK YOU for your business.
I will have the Kiboko bag back in stock in a few months, and you can always grab your spot in the ordering system so a bag will make it to your doorstep as soon as I get them back in stock.
I often hear questions like 'are you going to make this kind of product' or 'are you coming out with any new products soon', and even though I cannot directly answer the questions with my plans, I will say that I am working hard to solve common problems for traveling photographers. If you think you have an idea, by all means contact me with your thoughts. I may already be working on such an idea, or I may not have heard or thought of it. If you are tired of seeing the same old types of products hit the market, well so am I. Contact me if you want to vent!

Wow, great job for obviously a super product, and in this economy that speaks volumes. I have read many of the comments on Luminous-Landscape's forum and we'll likely get one myself eventually. Good execution Andy and good for you.
Hi Andy
One of the things I would like to talk about is the shipping costs (to Portugal). I was about to buy the bag (I was actually doing the buying process on your site) and when I'm about to finish my order, I get some 150 dollars or so (can't remember the exact value) for shipping....I mean...I have been ordering stuff from BH for years, a lot of the things were much heavier, sent by UPS (not cheap at all) and I never got that value. I really want the bag but I just wont pay that value for shipping.
Hopefully that will be solved and I will be able to get it the next time.
Thank you for the feedback, guys. Mauricio, we have a flat rate international shipping cost of $55 for USPS Priority Mail. UPS and FedEx are quite expensive, and this is the least expensive option. The only drawback is they do not provide a tracking number which shows you exactly where the bag is at every step. The tracking number only shows you the day it was shipped and the day it was delivered. We are working on a dealer network at the moment, and we will have numerous European options available this summer. I appreciate the feedback!
Thanks for the reply Andy
The problem with "regular" mail, if I can call it like that, is that things can take like 6 or 8 weeks to get to my hands (from previous experiences) because they get stuck in customs, while UPS takes 48 hours.
European retail options would be very welcome.
Thanks again.
How soon do you expect to be "re-stocked"? In changes, modifications coming for round 2?
